"I am Despair.
My reach is long and my grip strong. My weight will crush all those who oppose me." Since this is the first time I've done anything with digital painting, this took far longer than I expected it to. So it's... sort of a speedpaint. Minus the speed part. It's all on one layer, though! (Except the background, on accident) I've discovered a new love for the Smudge tool. Yes, indeed. Um... so this... thing... was a dream for a while. It would start out in the distance and gradually get closer. I would never see it move, but it would slowly and surely close in. It looked ominous and putrid and dead - very disturbing, to be honest. But the most upsetting thing about it was that I would periodically wake myself up and drift back to sleep... only to have it waiting for me in my dreams. Needless to say, I slept very poorly those couple nights. The verse at the top is something that just popped into my head as I sketched it the next day. (original sketch for the interested) I used a lot of brushes with this piece. A big thanks to the brush artists here! Grunge Brush A by ~Metal-CX Grunge Brush B by ~thppt-stock Grunge Brush C by ~10grams-stock Time taken: about 5 hours? (Speedpaint my ASS) Photoshop CS3 w/ Wacom tablet Fueled by jelly beans. but I like the grin on it's face. makes it all the more creepy. the only thing which's a lil bit off is how it's arched (back and so on). I would've done it a little bit more curved (you get what I mean? oô  ...anyway, even so I like it very much :3-- SPREAD THE BUNNY: [link] 薄闇の世界の中で。。。希望がある? Hmm, yeah. I do see what you mean. The spine ought to be more curved than it is.

Really great coloring job-glad to see that you are getting better at it! Of course, I expect more color pics now lol XD (j/k...or am I?)
